In light of the latest case of a pilot turning up to work under the influence of alcohol. The Japan Airlines #Pilot was almost 10 times above the limit and pleaded guilty to the case.
Some have now suggested just like the Indian #DGCA that aircrews should be subject to breath alcohol testing preflight whilst others suggest random unannouced testing.
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the above situation most people accept that there should be a peer led drug and alcohol programme similar to the #HIMS programme paid for they the #FAA and administered by #ALPA
